An authentic ancient drink with a contemporary packaging that reflects its values.

ANCIENT GREEK PRODUCTS S.A.:

Oxymeli is an ancient Greek drink made of honey and vinegar with a sweet and sour taste. The great physicians and philosophers of antiquity, Hippocrates and Galen, recommended it as a remedy for constipation, pneumonia, pleurisy and many other ailments. We produce our own Oxymeli, following faithfully Galen’s original recipe.

Oximeli, according to Galen’s ancient recipe, is obtained by mixing honey and vinegar in the ideal proportions.

Wanting to emphasize the combination of the two ingredients in an original but effective way, we created a key-visual that depicts a bunch of grapes, the shape of which resembles honeycombs.

Since Oximeli is an ancient Greek product, we created a custom logo with references to the ancient Greek script. To further reinforce its origins we designed geometric shapes that are influenced by their ancient Greek counterparts.

As for the colours, we were influenced by Red-figure vase painting – one of the most prominent styles of figural Greek vase painting, which perfectly reflects the values and origins of the product, while highlighting the main elements of the design.
